The Nefertiti Neck Lift is a non-surgical treatment designed to refine and lift the appearance of the jawline and neck, named after the elegant, sculpted profile of the Egyptian queen. At Dr Sonya Williams, this treatment uses wrinkle-relaxing injections to soften the pull of the platysma muscles, the bands that run down the front of the neck and can, over time, drag the jawline downward. The result is a more defined jaw contour and a smoother, more lifted appearance through the neck, without surgery or significant downtime.

How the Nefertiti Neck Lift Works

This treatment uses a specialised, prescription-only wrinkle-relaxing formulation, administered via a series of small injections along the jawline and platysma bands. It works at the neuromuscular junction, temporarily relaxing the targeted muscle fibres so they no longer pull the jawline downward. As the platysma bands soften, the jawline appears more defined, and the neck takes on a smoother, more lifted contour. As with all wrinkle-relaxing treatments, a face-to-face consultation with a qualified prescriber is required to assess suitability before treatment begins.

What Nefertiti Neck Lift Can Address

  • A softened, less defined jawline caused by the downward pull of the platysma muscles

  • Visible vertical neck bands, particularly when the jaw is clenched or the neck is turned

  • A tired or heavy appearance through the lower face and neck

  • Early signs of jawline sagging where surgery isn't wanted or needed

  • Most clients describe mild, brief discomfort during the injections, similar to a small pinch. Any sensitivity settles quickly afterwards.

  • As with any wrinkle-relaxing treatment, there's a small risk of temporary bruising, swelling, or asymmetry. These are discussed fully at your consultation, along with how they're managed if they occur.

    • Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for 24 hours

    • Stay upright and avoid lying flat for four hours after treatment

    • Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat (saunas, hot showers) for 24 hours

    • Avoid facials, massages, or other treatments to the neck for two weeks

    • Contact the clinic if you notice any unexpected swelling, bruising, or asymmetry
